Justin Burrage, Co-Founder

Justin Burrage is an accomplished investor and entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience advising and investing alongside corporate issuers and institutional investors across the Canadian capital markets.

Justin earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with distinction from Memorial University of Newfoundland and holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation from the Canadian Securities Institute. He began his career in equity research at Orion Securities (later Macquarie Capital Markets Canada). In 2008, he joined Bell Aliant, a subsidiary of Bell Canada, as a Senior Manager in Mergers and Acquisitions. In 2012, Justin began a nearly decade-long tenure at Desjardins Capital Markets, where he developed and leveraged deep relationships with a broad base of issuers and institutional investors to originate, structure, finance, and execute high-impact transactions. He ultimately rose to Managing Director on the firm’s sales and trading desk, where he became the equity group’s top commission earner.

In 2021, Justin transitioned to managing his own capital through his family office, Burrage Wealth LP. He also co-founded SagePoint Capital Partners, where he currently serves as Partner, supporting corporate issuers in executing effective capital markets strategies to accelerate growth and realize attractive, risk-adjusted returns.

Justin’s dedication to making meaningful impact extends beyond his professional endeavors. He remains closely connected to his alma mater, frequently returning to Memorial University’s Faculty of Business Administration as a guest speaker and mentor to high-performing students.
