Nathan Young, Investment Analyst

Nathan Young is a driven investor with a demonstrated track record of leading high-performance teams and delivering excellence across capital markets, elite sport, and community leadership.

A graduate of Memorial University, Nathan earned a Joint Bachelor of Commerce (Honours, Co-op) and Bachelor of Arts (Economics). During his studies, he became the youngest Portfolio Manager of Memorial’s student-managed investment fund, leading the fund to its first benchmark outperformance. He also distinguished himself with back-to-back victories at North America’s prestigious Van Berkom John Molson Small-Cap Case Competition. Upon graduation, he was awarded the University Medal for Academic Excellence in Business Administration (highest graduating average) and received the Frank H. Sobey Award for Excellence in Business Studies, recognizing his academic achievement, entrepreneurial initiative, and community leadership.

Nathan is currently an Investment Analyst at SagePoint Capital Partners, where he supports the firm’s internal investment activities and advisory mandates. He works closely with executive teams and boards across Canada to develop and execute capital markets strategies and transactions designed to unlock growth and generate attractive, risk-adjusted returns.

A Youth Olympic gold medalist and two-time Brier skip, Nathan is an accomplished curler who brings a disciplined, high-performance mindset to every environment. Whether on the ice or in the boardroom, his emphasis on preparation, precise execution, and teamwork consistently drives strong outcomes. An active community leader, Nathan has served on several national and local boards and committees, channeling his commitment for excellence into the causes he values most.
